Queen Juliana's

Abdication from the throne April 30th 1980

Studying the AH Chart for that day you will see immediately that the two planets who deal with 'coronation' play a prominent role, namely:

  • The Sun opposite the Mc (withdrawal from public function)
  • Eq/Saturn (endings) conjunct the 10th House

The moment Queen Juliana abdicated from the throne, her daughter and heiress to the throne, princess Beatrix, was crowned. In Beatrix's chart the coronation shows less obvious than it does in princess Juliana's.

We learned that Jupiter , the Sun,the 1st, the Mc and the ruler of the 8th House play a significant role in 'coronation'

Let's take a look at the Age Harmonic Chart of...

Princess Beatrix's accession to the throne.

In this chart:

Coronation Princess Beatrix

  • Pluto opposes the floating Mc
  • Neptune, ruler of the 1st AH House, trine Venus, ruler of the 8th AH House
  • Saturn, ruler of her 10th natal House opposite Uranus

Other than the fact that fact that this symbolizes her change of social status, it might signify the local colour in which the coronation took place. At that time people opposed to the coronation because of the enormous housing shortage: money spent on the Royal Family should better be spent on the people who were in need of housing. During the ceremony were demonstrations ( Uranus) and skirmishes with the police ( authorities = Saturn) in the streets (3rd House = 'streets')

  • Jupiter inconjunct Pluto and the POF
